Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 9, 2020, Scott A. Buchholz, Senior Vice President - Chief Information Officer, of Black Hills Corporation, submitted notice of his intention to retire after 40 years of service to the company, including 28 years with Aquila prior to the company’s acquisition of certain of Aquila’s electric and gas utility operations. Mr. Buchholz intends to remain with the company until his successor is appointed and through the first half of 2021.
